Toledo, Spain, May 3 and 4, 2013

Toledo, Spain, May 3rd and 4th, 2013

Toledo, Spain - May 3 and 4, 2013

Dinner on the town square.
Our hotel near old town (5 minute walk). Clean and quiet. Small rooms but that's OK when on the go.

Hitching post (ring) in an old town alley.

Spanish pastries for breakfast on the square. In comparison Crispy Cream is dog-food. Go to Spain and you'll believe.

Toledo's cathedral.

The old (centuries old) city gate.

I had to slip in at least one photo from Madrid, day one of our time in Spain. It was a four hour flight from SLC to Atlanta, a two hour layover then a four hour sit on the tarmac while Delta replaced a 10-cent fuse, then an eight hour flight to Madrid. It was a long day, but we were surprisingly chipper upon reaching Madrid. This was our only stop in Madrid before driving on to Toledo. We just had no time in the itinerary and the advice we read was to plan at least a week for Madrid, or don't bother. This is outside the LDS Temple adjacent to the Missionary Training Center, where my son lived for three weeks before going to Barcelona.
