San Sebastian, Spain, May 7 and 8, 2013

San Sebastian - May 7 and 8, 2013

If I could runaway and hide anywhere in the world, San Sebastian would be on the short list.
View from the hotel. Not beach front but pretty damn good view.

Statue of Christ at the Castillo de la Mota, on Monte Urgull, guarding the east side of the harbor.

San Sebastian from Castillo do la Mota.

If you're a cyclist this needs no explanation, but here's one anyway. The first  three stages of the 1992 Tour de France started in San Sebastian, the first stage, an individual time trial, was won by Migual Indurain, five time TDF winner (from Espana).  Stage three, from San Sebastian to Pau, France, was won by another Espaniard, Javier Murguialday. Stage two, starting and ending in San sebastian, was won by Dominique Arnould of France. The overall winner of the '92 TDF was Miguel Indruain. Plus San Sebastian is the site of the one day Classica de San Sebastian (San Sebastián Classic).

San Sebastian marina just below Monte Urgull, east side of San Sebastian.

Tired old man at the Wind Combs at the west end of the harbor.

View from the west side of the harbor entrance, overlooking San Sebastian, from Monte Iguelo, opposite from Monte Urgull.

There's Jesus, across the harbor, atop Monte Urgull and Castillo de la Mota.
